About me...no.It's about us. We are young married couple, based in Dubai U.A.E, originally from Bosnia (Bosnia-you know, that small country which was part of Ex Yugoslavia), came across all this way looking for a better tomorrow. Two adventurous souls. She loves fashion, I love photography and cars. We both love traveling. This blog is about happenings coming across, day-by-day stories in and about life in Dubai and other places we travel, our adventures, photography and HER biggest love, that cute maltese dog-Bonny. Name of the blog Saso Mange is Gypsies word meaning something like "All and Everything". Other story is that Saso Mange was a man-street trader who always had everything you asked for. However the word is used very often in ex-Yu (eastern Europe) countries when you wand to say "all and everything". Now the important part to mention, English is not our mother language, so please forgive us if there is a lots of mistakes in typing. We love speaking "simple language" which can be understood by "every day normal guys". Your suggestions and ideas are more then welcome all the time! "I'm Mr. Right, and she is Mrs. Always Right!"

Love and Photography

Sometimes you can’t find what makes you happy, but person who loves you discover it for you.

That was case with me and photography.

I was always impressed when I saw good photo. The way photographers play with the colors and angle.

Always wanted to learn and to start doing photography, but like everything else in a life, there was always something more important than buying camera.

If I knew how happy camera will make me, I would have bought one long time ago…

But I didn’t know how to treat myself well, if I can say so.

When I got married, soon my wife noticed that anytime we gone to shopping mall I spent “big time” in camera shops checking cameras, lenses, equipment and so…

And BOOM! First wedding anniversary, maybe few days before, I just came back from work, entered our apartment when I noticed gift wrapped in decorative paper on the table.

Big gift!

I could feel it that was camera. I don’t know how, but I felt.

My wife was sitting on the sofa, looking at me with always beautiful smile on her face, saying nothing, but the gesture on her face it was like: “c’mon, open it, what are you waiting for!”

So I grab it, and then slowly, with awesome feeling I started removing decorative paper, and box showed up.

Brand new Nikon D3200 with 2 lenses, stand, bag and some other equipment.

She was looking at me, and trust me, if you walked in to the room at that moment, you could feel the energy of my happiness, and happiness of my wife because she made me so happy.

I carefully installed all things together, took our selfie as a first photo ever with new camera and went out, started clicking on everything.

And that’s how everything started. Way later, I think I’ve made 100.000 photos in few months only.

Do I have talent-I don’t know, but for sure I’ve made some photos which made me feel awesome, and yes, some people said:” That’s good photo”

One went to National Geographic official site, some small competitions… But nothing cannot be compared to the feeling when you “freeze” the moment through lens.

This week is my birthday, and guess what-my wife just bought me brand new GoPro HERO4.

Do I have to describe how happy I’m!

Thank you God for wonderful wife…Actually is not just wife, it’s SUPERWIFE J

I’m sharing with you some photos from my collection, and soon I will share some GoPro moments.

Be Happy!

Dubai Marina by Night

If you love photography, you will understand.

There is nothing what could relax you and clear your head like taking your camera and follow the way camera takes you.

It’s always like that.

You go out to click just 2-3 photos just in front of your house. That’s the plan. Just few photos and you are back in 15 minutes.

And suddenly, few hours later you find your self kilometers away, hundreds photos made, time to get taxi to get back home.

Same happen to me all the time.

That how it was 5 night ago.

I wanted to try night mode, long exposure, etc.

Went out only to to try all that.

An then, 3 hours later, I was on the other side of Marina, probably made over 200 different photos, receiving a call from my wife asking me if I’m planing to come home 🙂

This are some photos made at that time.

I just love it!

Golden Obsession

Walking around, day by day, I come across something what, I believe should impress everyone.

Golden cars, golden mobile phones, golden pens, golden this and that.

And for me as well, when I saw it for the first time, all that was “WOW”

Golden Bugatti Veyron, Golden Lamborghini… (golden or golden plated)

Than I stopped I start thinking for a moment.

Imagine, if, just if, all that wasted money has been shared to different people.

Just a small piece of that car or one golden pen with insane price it could change someones life forever.

It could pay the school, or surgery or whatever.

An yesterday we went to Dubai Mall, biggest shopping mall in the world and guest what.

We found many golden mobile phones. OK. Nothing new, but going further we spotted golden “Beats By Dr. Dre” headphones! And Speakers just next to it. Hmmm,,, and that wasn’t all! Just a minute later we found believe, or not-golden PLAY STATION 4 with the price of 88.888 AED what is above 20.000 EURO!

And yes, golden Lamborghini Aventador was parked inside the shop on 3th floor at the shopping mall :/

20.000 EURO, back in Bosnia, Serbia and many more countries you can by an apartment, start your own business, live few years normal life, save someones life, pay someones education etc.

And I know no one would believe, so I took a photo and added to other collection.

All photos are made in Dubai, last few months.

I could say-enjoy, but is it really something to enjoy or…I don’t know…

It’s just a small piece of all wastage happening around.

Not Impressed!

Abandoned Luxury Cars Under the Dust-Dubai

Almost everyone has a “dream-car” Most of us would never have a chance to purchase the car we really want. From the other side, some are that lucky, they can purchase 1,2,3 or more dream cars and enjoy super rides. And that’s how it is. But what really make me sad, very sad-is to see all those abandoned cars around Dubai. There is a story that in 2008 when the crises started, over 60.000 cars were left near to the airport and some of them had keys inside. People were not able to pay car-loans and they had no choice but to leave the car, catch the flights and never come back. And believe me, there was amount of super cars. Ferrari Enzo (limited Edition). Porsche, Lamborghini, BMW M6, X5, Jaguar, Audi and much more… dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury carsdubai luxury cars  dubai luxury carsdubai luxury carsdubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars dubai luxury cars    dubai luxury cars

“The Shark” Citroen DS

Citroen DS or also know as Citroen “Shark” is my big aim.

Yes. One of my biggest dreams is to purchase that car.

Not for myself, but for my father who is in love with Citroen DS.

Once, long time ago, he had one. He purchased brand new “Shark” as a self-gift for one of his birthdays. I think it was 21st.

That time Citroen DS was awesome care to drive. Attraction. Special the part when you push the button and the “ass” of the car “lay-low”.

                                                                                            Rights to the owner

He had that car for couple years and later, like that was normal at that time, else he went for newer cars and other brands.

After that, in ’92. when war started in Yugoslavia, we lost everything, like most of the people in Bosnia.

For year later, we came back to our city and everything was destroyed.

We had no chance to think about every day normal things, special not about to have a car.

We had no money, no place to stay because our house was fully damaged and had to start from the beginning. From “0”.

Father got a job, somehow we started building our new house and little by little we got a chance to purchase a car. And may years later, we got another, and then another car, but all of that cars were some “regular” cars. Not really regular, because all of the were sport versions of particular model, but normal cars.

And somehow my dad got nostalgic. He did not miss so many things which he lost when the war started.

He is the person who believes that everything happens with good reason. So he accepted that we lost everything because God wanted so. Ad he “put” the same in our heads. So we also believe in that.

But one think he is really nostalgic about is his “Shark”…That old Citroen DS.

Like many others, who could no the value of that car back in the days. Who could imagine that even now, many, many years later that car would still be “a real deal” attraction.

And the price is amazing. Even so old, the car is very expensive. And is not overpriced, because it has got “that something”

And I really wish one day soon I can earn enough to purchase “Shark” and to surprise my father with it.

I think, if that’s happen, he would be the happiest man in the world. It would be like “nothing else matters”

One day,,,hopefully soon “InshAllah” (If God Wills)

Future Fashion-Julian Hakes Mojito Women’s Shoes

O yeah.

Here we are. We had big discussion about this so called-shoes.

We went to Dubai Mall. The biggest mall in the world, just next to the tallest building in the world -Burj Khalifa.

And there is one full section for footwear.

So first question it was, can you really call this thing a footwear. I mean-really.

mojito shoesmojito shoes

This thing is Julian Hakes Mojito Shoes. I really appreciate art, fashion design and all related to that. But this was just to overpriced.

I know, my wife will write an article about how super-cool-awesome-beautiful this shoes are and everyone (girls) would support her opinion.

But for me, I’m really surprised to see this thing on the section footwear.price mojito shoes

And honestly, I would not even bother my self looking at it and writing all this if the price was not highlighted -850 AED (158 British Pounds or 218 Euro) AFTER DISCOUNT, something like “special promotion

So lets think this way, Air Max Nike you can buy for less money, and you can wear it for few years-every day, so that’s a value. Or you can buy super Adidas sport shoes. Or some casual shoes for work. And you know what you got. But this “thing”…just useless.

Where you are going to wear this. And look at the photos, it look so uncomfortable.

My wife will “give me” nicely for this post, but I had to share my opinion.

Hopefully I will not be forced to buy “this thing” ,because last time we were arguing about shoes, Isabel Marant Sneakers, I had to by one. 🙂

Money Talks

Actually, nothing much to say. Photo says 1000 of words. I was there around in the hotel lobby when lady came to pay for her room, Penthouse rented for few days. I use to see many times that people paying “big money” by their credit cards, butfirst time to see that big amount of money to be paid by cash.Money Payment And I was not surprised,  I worked in that hotel few years and sow millions going around ( 5*, 400 rooms, for EID or New Year room is not less than 500 USD per night),It’s Dubai, but when I saw the way this lady throw money on the desk, I was like wt*. I’m probably working, hmmm, big time for that amount. I mean someone earn that much for entire life in Bosnia, Serbia, Africa ,,,also in UK and USA I’m sure some people never see that much money.
And she was just like, don’t know. when you go to the shop and buy chocolate. You know, like it’s nothing, it’s just paper.
And then I started thinking. I become sad. I was thinking what if this amount is given to 10 different families. Man their entire life would change. They could eat, go to school, do some regular stuff which the are not able to do because they have no food, no water, no money…
Yeah. A night in Penthouse it’s 15.000 AED/Night (3000 Euro exactly), and that lady, she booked for 9 nights. Man, it’s almost 30.000 Euro.
So let’s check this way. Aprox. Salary in Serbia, Bosnia, Ukraine and many “second line” countries in Europe is 400 Euro a Month. Yes.
So that people need to work aprox. 6 years for this amount. And they have to live from that money, eat, send kids to the school, pay taxes, medicine, bills… My God.
Imagine India,Nepal or Philippines. That amount, as per my Indian friend, he need 13 years to earn that much money. 13 years!
And she will just sleep in the room for 9 nights, even she lives just 45 minutes somewhere away in big villa.
Look, I’m nit judging people who spend that money, not judging this lady, but just thinking loud and putting that things here. It’s just not fer.
They have, they can…But,…no but, that’s how it is….

Grandpa’s Toboggan

It’s always good feeling to visit grandparents, specially if they live in the village.

Our grandparentIMG_8031s are nearly 80, but they still have a good sense of humor and it’s always a pleasure spending time with them.

This is a short story about our grandpa’s “toboggan”

It’s been our tradition passing from generation to generation, started nearly 50 years ago with my mother and uncle. Later on, about 35 years ago passed on to my sister, near to 30 years ago to myself and now-days to my sister’s wonderful kiddo!

Grandpa always wanted to make kids happy, and the best part is when he removes the door from the base-frame and lean the door to the sofa-bed “downhill” creating a “toboggan”

So back in the days we use to do so, now my nephew is so happy to run all way up to the top, and then to slide down playing like that for hours.

And always you can hear my grandma saying the same:”That’s enough, you will damage the door” 🙂
But honestly, it was never enough. Looking at my nephew, memories are coming back…
